Central Tajikistan, 5-8C - YOUTH With THE WHISKERS.

Tree. Volumetric sculpture. The height of 1 m. body and head are prepared from the entire piece of tree; forearms (together with the hands) are made separately and are rigidly fastened to the figure with the aid of the wooden pins and the nails. Head is sealed in the crown part, the wavy hair, combed back, cover it. Face is thoroughly polished. Nose of straight line, aquiline, large straight whiskers (between the ends of whiskers 10). Eyes are large almond-shaped, eyebrow straight lines. Neck high, which is constricted upwards. On the neck, in head, in the ears, and also on the fingers of opening with the tracks of the passed here metallic objects (nails, wire?). Pose is in a half-sitting posture (sculpture it were located, obviously, on the special support). Body is not polished. Right hand is bent in the elbow and is lengthened forward; fingers are compressed into the cam and held the elongated round object (pole of spear, baton and the like.) with diameter 2,2. Left hand is also lengthened forward and palm
is turned upward (thumb it is bent and forced against indicating). In spite of a certain sketchiness of image, all details of body (fingers, the fold of the skin and so on) they are transmitted with the undoubted authenticity. 6C(?)
